Over 30 Years of Growth and Progress

When HMC was established in 1983, the current plant location was a large vacant block of land in the Map Ta Phut Industrial state in Rayong province. Some thirty years later, our polypropylene production facilities and offices employ over 350 personnel and output over 750,000 metric tons per year and comprise two Spheripol lines and a latest technology Spherizone line from LyondellBasell.

In addition, a strategic investment in upstream integration was made in parallel with the construction of a Propane Dehydrogenation plant (PDH) at a site adjacent to our Map Ta Phut plant.

HMC Polymers has the most modern technology for the production of the full spectrum of polypropylene grades in Thailand and is one of largest and most advanced integrated facilities in Asia. The company is certified for both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Surrounded by a vibrant community, HMC is a major economic engine for Rayong Province.

Corporate Environmental Responsibility

Concern for the Environment and Safety
Since our inception, we have stayed on the cutting-edge of environmental safety procedures and continuously work to create a safe environment for our employees and for our community as a whole. We operate on the principle that nothing is more important than safety to employees and neighbors.

HMC was recently audited by the Government backed Industrial Estate Authority in areas which included: Process Safety Information, Process Hazard Analysis, Operating Procedures, Contractor Safety Management, Mechanical Integrity and Emergency Planning and Response. The auditors concluded the audit HMC had received a ‘PASS’ result without any conditions.

Recently HMC reached the corporate achievement of 4M incident free Safe Work Hours. The next target is 5M Safe Work Hours which is expected to be achieved in Q3/2016.

HMC is committed to the highest standards of environmental management to ensure that we remain a good neighbour and a valued member of the communities in which we serve.
