Safety, Security and Emergency Response Engineer

Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist Assistant Manager, SSE assistant in establishing a Safety, Security and Emergency program and procedure assessment in compliance with plants HSE standard, PSM with communications to staff.
  • Maintain Safety Security and Emergency management system to be available at all time.
  • Authorize safety checking and permits for hot work, confined space, line breaking, scaffolding requirements and LOTO system.
  • Responsible for personal protective equipment to be available and adequate for users and maintain CCTV, access control system and security tools to be available for use.
  • Establish and simulate confined space rescue plans at high risk level.
  • Conduct field inspections and routine visits to all process and working areas to ensure users comply with procedures.
  • Establish plan and coordinate with PMT for plant patrol audit program, coordinate with concerned persons to support PDH site, including HSE system, during normal and turnaround periods.
  • Support emergency and crisis preparedness plan and exercise plan to concerned parties.
  • Maintain the fire protection inspection program for PP and PDH.
  • Provide the letter or report to government or IEAT requirements when required.
  • Investigate incidents, generate reports and follow up.
  • Update processes, procedures, changes in safely, plant equipment, raw materials and products.
  • Support SHE committee audit programs, TRA, MOC review, Health and Safety function, bidding committee as needed.
  • Prepare and annually conduct training programs for duty roster and emergency response teams.
  • Act as instructor for HSE training centre for staff and all contractors.
  • Other jobs as assigned by Assistance Manager, SSE.

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety systems or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in petrochemical industry in safety security and emergency function.
  • Knowledge of law/regulations of safety, security and emergency function.
  • Possess technical skills and knowledge of operational safety, security and emergency responsibilities.
  • English and computer skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
